Le transit

Before I set foot in New Zealand, I was lucky to be able to stop one night in Vancouver where I met my awesome friend Jason.  Vancouver was rainy (isn't it always?) but buzzing with hockey fever.  And yes, the Canucks won their first game.  Those who know me more than a little know that I give more thought to garbage night than hockey night, but it was hard not to be swept up in the excitement when every single person in the airport gave a victory shout.  I swear I felt the floor vibrate.  Earthquake in Christchurch?  Bah!  Nothing compared to hockey-quake.

Some pictures of Vancouver,

And a big thank you to Jay for spending a good 9 hours on the road just to come see me and drive me around!
